Tayah and Max celebrate their Birthdays

Tayah and Max both wanted to celebrate their birthdays with friends before we left Saipan for the summer. So Thursday at lunch I brought brownies, cool whip and sprinkles to their classrooms and the 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade classes sang Happy Birthday to them in English, Chinese and Korean.

We narrowed the weekend beach birthday party down to just two friends each. Tayah, who was having a hard time deciding which friends from school, decided to have two girls who didn't go to her school so that there were no hard feelings. Max invited two of his good friends from school - but both are a year ahead of him in school.

We played at the beach from 9:30 - 1:30 and had a blast. The tide was super low by noon, so we walked way out on the sand bar. The kids built sand castles, played in the water, dug some huge trenches/holes, ate lunch and of course, brownies with cool whip and sprinkels again.

And now, the birthday month has begun! More celebrating to follow in the States with family...

End of the Year Programs

Sera Ann celebrates the end of her K3 program with some songs and a potluck...on Monday she will start the K4 program.

Sera is leaning on the stage at Max and Tayah's Artists and Authors Fair. She loved seeing her sister and brother perform on stage.
