New Years in Tinian cont...

Cliff jumping in Tinian! What better way to celebrate the new year than to get your blood pumping a bit! There were 5 families (15 kids) and we all (well most of us) litterally jumped into 2008.
I did jump - but once was enough for me. Nate and Max were the champions for our family - jumping over and over again. Even Sera Ann jumped into her new year - however, for all you worried grandparents, she did jump from the 'lower' rock. What fun we had!

We visited Invasion Beach in Tinian...
This is the beach where the U.S. came ashore during WWII after they had secured Saipan. If you google Invasion Beach Tinian, there is some interesting history to be read.
Not sure what this rusted piece of equipment is, perhaps from a landing craft that was used during the invasion - as Saipan and Tinian are 'littered' with various pieces of equipment that were left behind from the war.
